Unlock Federal Funding Opportunities with Expert Guidance
By making a "Congressionally Directed Spending" request to your US Senator and/or a "Community Project Funding" to your US Representative, you may be able to earn a one-time Federal appropriation for your organization or agency! Participants will learn how the Federal appropriations process works, who is eligible, what you can apply for, and how much money you can request, as well as whether or not match requirements will apply to your project. Participants will also learn how to connect with the offices of their US Senators and Representative(s), how to find the applications for making a request in the spring, how to appropriately cultivate a relationship with Congressional offices, and how to advocate for your appropriations request before and during the appropriations process. With appropriation requests typically opening in March, participants will also receive a follow-up communication once the 2025 rules are announced.
